The healthy and delicious recipe makes the perfect sweet dish on any festival. To make Makhana Kheer, heat a pan on low flame and add 4 tablespoons of ghee. Now add 1 cup of Makhana, 8-10 cashew nuts and 8-10 almonds. Roast the dry fruits until they are golden and crunchy. Keep them aside. Next, take a thick bottom pan, add milk and let it boil. On the other side, keep aside ¼ of the roasted dry fruits and grind the rest of it in a blender to get a coarse powder. Now, add sugar to the boiling milk as per your taste.
After a few minutes, add a pinch of saffron and cardamom powder into the milk and stir well. Add the powered Makhana mixture and stir for a minute. Next, add the remaining Makhana pops, almonds, and cashews to the milk and keep stirring for 10 minutes or until the Makhana turns soft. Garnish with roasted dry fruits and serve hot.
Makhana Coconut Ladoo

To make this recipe, you will need 1 fresh coconut and 1 fresh cream of a coconut, known as malai. Add the coconuts in a mixer grinder with ½ cup sugar and a little coconut water to grind well. Next, heat a kadhai on medium flame and add two tablespoons of desi ghee in it. Now add the grinded coconut mixture into the ghee and roast it until light brown in color.
In another kadhai, dry-roast Makhana pops and crush them coarsely. Add this to the coconut mixture and roast for 5-10 minutes. Add rose petals. Cool the mixture and make round ladoos with it. Makhana Coconut Ladoo is ready to serve.
Makhana Ka Halwa

To make this, dry roast Makhana pops in a pan and grind them coarsely to make Makhana ka atta. You can also use packaged Makhana flour if available. Now add 1 cup of sugar and 2 cups of water; mix well until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove the mixture from the heat and add little more ghee and mix well.
